Successful Strategies Against Satan's Schemes
or

How The Christian Can Avoid
Being Lured Into Sin By the Devil (Part 2)

Rev. Peter Everett

Ephesians 6: 10-18

Scheme#3: Satan Tries To Trick You Into Thinking That "Small
Sins" Are Harmless

Strategies Against Scheme#3
a)Consider that what we call "little sins" can harm us in a big way
b)Consider that giving in to "little sins" leads gradually to "big sins"
c)Consider that "little sins" may be more dangerous than "big sins"
(I Corinthians 5:6)
d)Consider that, in the past, believers have chosen to suffer rather than to commit a "little sin"

Scheme#4: Satan Points Out the Sins of Well-known Believers But
Does Mention Their Subsequent Sorrow and Repentance

Strategies Against Scheme#4
a)Consider that the Holy Spirit records how believers have turned back to God and stopped their sinning
b)Consider that, although God will never disinherit His people, He does discipline them
c)Consider that God has only two purposes in recording the sins of believers

Scheme#5: Satan Says That, Since you Are Under Grace, You Can
Sin All You Want

Strategies Against Scheme#5
a)Consider that believers throughout history have looked upon God's mercy and grace as the means to resist sin, not an encouragement to sin.
