Paraphrase: Romans 2:17-29

"You who call yourself a Jew may pride yourself on possessing special revelation from God in the written law. But yet your behavior shows that you dishonor God just like the Gentiles. And if you try to hide behind the covenant sign of circumcision as some kind of divine protective mark, remember that it is a valid visible seal only of it goes along with a true heart relationship of love and obedience to God".
