Sunday School Attendance Challenge
Beginning February 1 & continuing through June 14, our children and youth are invited to take part in a Sunday School attendance challenge. We’ll be keeping track of how many Sundays each student attends during this time. The top attendee(s) in each class will get to go first in line at our Sunday School Ice Cream Social on June 14. Along the way, students can also earn small rewards for every five weeks they attend. We hope this adds a little fun and encouragement as we learn and grow together.
Lenten Suppers
Historically, the six weeks leading up to Easter are often referred to as Lent. Christians of varying traditions and denominations observe this period of time differently (or not at all). At Grace Church of Harmony, Lent is not an elaborate time of fasting or self-denial so much as it is a period of personal reflection on human sinfulness and our need to be reconciled with God. In that spirit, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 18 and running through April 1, on each Wednesday night, we will be offering a light supper at 5:30 p.m. in the church social hall followed by a brief Lenten service in the sanctuary at 6:05 which will conclude at 6:20.
